- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪We moved down to Charlotte from NJ and NY with our birds in August 2015. We have not had to use a vet since we have been here until now (June 2016) but I was given several referrals by Parrot University in Pineville for the best Avian vets in the area. We called around and spoke to a few, but after speaking with many veterinarians we liked the availability, friendliness of staff, pricing, and reviews of Animal Care Hospital of Matthews. We went in to have our little lovebird looked at for a tumor on his foot, already anticipating that we were going to have it removed. The staff was so wonderful and so is Dr. Rutowski. I am so thankful for finding out about Dr. Rutowski they were able to have us come back in two days for the surgery which went extremely well and I am very pleased with our experience with this amazing place. Expect exceptional service, friendly, compassionate, and straightforward staff, and your beloved pet to be well taken care of in their hands.
